Caroline
I was a service user judge last year. I wanted to be part of such an amazing day, full of inspiration and positivity, and help people feel welcome.
Charlene
Hi, my name is Charlene. I’m proud to be part of this year’s National Lived Experience Events team. Last year I attended the awards supporting my peers and was inspired by one of the nominees’ presentations. There were moments in the awards that inspired me to think about my future to make positive changes. Since the last awards, I have helped organise events as I enjoy helping others and being creative.
Chris D
Being a patient has built me up to the person I am today. 3 years ago, I got discharged, finally building my dreams. I would like to be part of the awards because it inspires me to progress more and I like to see the patients succeed for there bright future.
Chris S
I love playing guitar and games on my PlayStation and Xbox. I love coming to the awards because I get to meet new people and celebrate their achievements.

Hi! I’m Joshua. I’m part of the events team because I find being a part of the planning and organisation process valuable and rewarding. Especially seeing it all come to light on the day! The event is an amazing opportunity for everyone and I’m thankful to be a part of the National Lived Experience Awards!

Being part of the events committee is important to me because I was so inspired by last years ceremony. I want to share ideas as a group to ensure the ceremony is supported by the people it is all about.
Millie

Sam
My name is Sam and I enjoy planning events and have fun doing this. I have a lot of experience in event planning and organising. I have around 20 years of experience in working on live and DJ-based club events and gigs. My background is also music as a musician, DJ, sound engineer and production, all done professionally. With my experience, I will try to make 2024 the best event you have ever come to.
Shaun
I wanted to be part of the event team as I am in a good place now where I can give back. I am also very approachable when it comes to my peers on my unit and I love the thought of getting involved in giving praise to service users as I hope one day to become an expert by experience and really give back.
Simon
I became involved because I like to see people be recognised for being the best of themselves.
Sophie
I decided to apply because I want to be part of organising an event to recognise people for hard work/progress. I also want to meet new people and share my ideas. I want to use this opportunity to help strengthen my skills.
Vicki
Hi, I’m Vicki and I wanted to be on the National Lived Experience events team because I wanted to be part of a team of creative individuals to make the Awards the best they can be. I hope we make you all proud!
